Work with a health and social training company that can teach all aspects of health and social care

Are you a care company based in Wales and have health and social training requirements? Well look no further ProCare Training Cymru can help deliver all your training requirements. In the health and social care sector we have found that many companies who offer care are just not supported by their current training provider.

What do we mean by not supported? The answer is this, training companies do not have the broad and wide portfolio to train care companies on a wide variety of health and social care topics.

Just the other day we received an enquiry where the care company was receiving first aid training, but the provider were unable to teach other health and social care topics such as Medication Management or Dementia care. It is all very good for companies to setup and offer first aid training only, but can they teach the broad spectrum of health and social care topics.

We have training officers who have years of experience delivering health and social care training. All of our training officers are fully regulated and annually update their CPD this ensures all facilitator are fully compliant with regulations.

When you work with ProCare Training Cymru you are in good hands. We have fully regulated trainers that can teach courses on a wide range of health and social care topics, here are the courses we can deliver.

Will a Brexit deal finally happen and attentions turn back to the health and social care crisis in the UK

It’s been a busy week as far as the country is concerned. With the general election finally over and with the conservatives winning a majority, it seems likely that a Brexit deal good or bad, however which way you look at it is likely to be reached in the not too distant future.

Since June of this year, we have been posting on our blog about how Brexit could be harming the health and social care sector, with everything at a deadlock in parliament it meant less time to debate on the vital issues that surround the crisis inside our health and social care services, further harming the sector.

If a Brexit deal can be reached this means we can now finally start to look at improving the crisis inside our social care system. In June 2019 we pointed out to our readers that by 2034 there would be a need for a further 20,000 carers in Wales by 2030, this is going to add further strain on the health and social care sector unless solutions to carer shortages are found.

It is also a fact that by 2034 there will be an extra 100,000 people living into their eighties, which again is going to provide further strain on the care system, from people needing more care especially more specific care. Earlier this month we posted about dementia care patients, and how they are going to increase in the future, these types of illness are only going to demand more from our health and social care services, so it is important that solutions are found now to help manage these increases in the future.

ProCare Nursing offer affordable care packages

Yes, there is a lot going on in our country when it comes to health and social care, but if you need private care for a loved one or for family members then get in touch we can help. We train all of our carers internally with all of the latest health and social care training. Dementia care costs to increase as people living with dementia will rise by 2040

We have recently read a study carried out by the London School of Economics and Political Science. The study looked at dementia and how the study predicts that people being diagnosed with dementia is going to increase if not double by the year 2040.

This means people with dementia will rise to a whopping 1.6 million people by 2040. With dementia patients on the rise that also means costs of care are going to rise, it is predicted that dementia care costs alone will rise to an eye watering £45.5bn, that is a considerable rise considering right now the dementia care bill which includes costs from the NHS is currently £15.7bn.

This study was commissioned by Jeremy Hughes chief executive of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Jeremy goes on to say:

“Dementia is an awful condition that can be very hard for families. It is not right that people who suffer with dementia have to fight to cover the costs of care as well as battling the disease.”

“Families are finding it hard to cope, they have to work extra hours to pay for care for loved ones who suffer with dementia, it is also unfair for people having to sell their homes in order to pay for dementia care. Families and loved ones affected by dementia are already pushed to the limit, and as costs are predicted to rise how will families cope in the future?”

“The cost of dementia care should not be laid at the feet of one individual, but should be spread out between us all, just like schools, the NHS and other public sector services.”

ProCare Nursing are here to help now and in the future

We are a health and social care agency with huge experience. ProCare Nursing have been delivering quality care in our local communities to people with dementia for over 20 years.

BBC article reports that half of women will be carers 10 years earlier than men

It was reported by the BBC that women can take on caring responsibilities for older, sick and disabled people ten years earlier than men. Sheffield and Birmingham university have discovered half of women will be in a caring role by the age of 46, however it was revealed that men would take up caring roles by the time they are 57.

The report is not talking about people becoming paid carers but unpaid carers. In the report it stated that two-thirds of adults will become unpaid carers during their life time. This means a loved one may become a carer for their older relatives, for example a son looking after his older dad.

The charity Carers UK has said that adults who are caring for loved ones will need paid leave in order to care for loved ones.

Carers UK have said that workers will need between five to ten days of paid care leave in order to care for loved ones. Carers UK charity un-earthed some interesting statistics, these are:

* 65% of adults had provided unpaid care for a loved one.

* Women had a 70% chance of becoming a carer and men 60%.

* Carers quitting their jobs because of pressure delivering unpaid care

These are interesting statistics and cause for concern. In June 2019 this year ProCare Nursing wrote about the need for 20,000 extra carers by 2030, this is because people are living longer and going on to live well into their eighties. Not only is the health and social care sector going to be in need of carers, the statistics un-earthed by Carers UK shows that many adults will be caring for elderly people unpaid and this will increase.

ProCare Nursing are here to provide health and social carers

Regardless of the statistics outlined in this article ProCare Nursing are here to provide quality care packages to service users. If you have loved ones and cannot get the paid or unpaid leave that you need to look after your loved ones thats where we come in. We have carers who have worked in the care sector for many years, carers that are well trained who are fully equipped to deliver quality care to service users.
