Brexit suspends Parliament which means less debate about the Health and Social Care sector
Today Boris Johnson has come good on his action to suspend Parliament, by close of day today Parliament is suspended until the 14th of October. That means there will be no time to debate any topic of interest including Brexit, not only that but no sitting time in Parliament to debate health and social care.
We are not politically biased toward any political party. Through July and August we have been talking about the effects Brexit could be having on the health and social care sector. With Parliament suspended to sort out Brexit this is simply more evidence that home affairs are sadly being put on the back burner, this means for the time being the health and social care sector will remain in crisis. We don’t envy Boris Johnson someone has to do something and we recognise the task at hand and what he has on his plate.
ProCare Nursing however are soldiering on, we are continuing to invest in new key staff in the office. This week we have employed a new training and learning manager to oversee all of our health care training carried out in-house.
We pride ourselves on our in-house training, we ensure all training of existing and new care support workers is carried out in-house, we do this so that we can oversee all training and make sure it is delivered to the highest standard. Here are a few photos of a recent aggression and management course.
A lot of health and social care companies in Cardiff outsource their health care training to free-lancers. The problem with this is you cannot oversee training being carried out, there are a lot of free-lance cowboys out there who will tick the names off the list purely to make a fast buck, or get the courses over as soon as possible to make money, thats not quality training and that is why we train in-house.
Don’t get us wrong, there are good free-lance trainers out there, but training and supporting care workers is so important, ultimately what we do in the classroom is translating out into the field of health and social care, so we take our training extremely serious and that is why we oversee it at our in-house training facility.
To help free-lance trainers we let them use our facilities at our offices, this way we can oversee training, this also gives free-lance trainers the opportunity to deliver quality training in health and social care.
Whatever your views are about Brexit and Parliament being suspended don’t worry, your local health and social care agency is still hard at work, we are always on the move and ensuring that ProCare Nursing is delivering excellent care to service users out in the field.
