Job Description
We are looking for a Domiciliary care worker, based in Cardiff. Would you like to work during evenings or on the weekend to earn an additional income?

ProCare are looking for a Domiciliary care worker that can work flexible hours to provide the best possible care within the service user’s home and also within our care homes.
To enable the service user to remain as independent, as possible.
To carry out personal care, develop and/or maintain social activities and individual social networks and or other tasks as specified in the service user’s individual plan of care, encouraging the service user where possible to undertake these tasks themselves.
To contribute to accurate and detailed record keeping whilst maintaining the service user’s privacy in accordance with the confidentiality policy.
Where appropriate, under the guidance of the management, liaise with the service user’s relatives, GP and other health professionals contributing to care in order to promote good communication and high quality of service.
To take part in training as required by the management to improve personal skills and knowledge in order to maintain a provision of high quality domiciliary care.
To contribute, by carrying out planned actions, to the maintenance of the service users’ individuality dignity and freedom of choice.
To contribute to updating of service users individual care plan and to take part in any review/reassessment of service users needs as required.
To ensure that full and accurate records of transactions are kept for inspection and that adequate security for service users’ monies and valuable is maintain
This job description is a general description of the duties expected of a community support worker, other duties within the carers capabilities and in line with legislation and regulations may be required in order to meet individual service user needs.
You must be able to:
- To respect confidentiality, dignity, privacy, individual differences and preferences of a service user in their home environment
- To convey information clearly, follow organizational policies and procedures.
- To help service users maintain their independence whilst living in their own homes.
- To provide personal care services to children and adults, to provide support to service users who may have learning difficulties or mental physical health problems.
- To carry out services, such as shopping and domestic help.
- Work towards and gain a QCF level 2 in health and social care.
(Training is provided however it would be advantageous to have previous experience in the care sector).
Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure (DBS).
Full training provided.
Preferably hold FULL UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
Experience preferred but not essential.
